Frequently asked questions
With self-publishing support, you remain the publisher of record, and we walk beside you to help you publish independently. When you publish under Eula Rae, we become your publishing partner—your book is released through our imprint, with our ISBN and distribution channels, and we handle the behind-the-scenes publishing logistics so you can focus on your message and readers.
If you publish under the Eula Rae imprint, here’s how royalties are handled: • Online sales (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Ingram, etc.): I receive 10% of the net royalty the platform pays. For example, if Amazon pays $3.25 for a sale, my portion would be around 32 cents. • In-person sales: I take a 15% share since authors typically earn more from direct sales. For example, if your book costs $4 to print and you sell it for $12, you keep the majority of that profit.
In-person sales are reported quarterly—just a simple total of how many you’ve sold, and I’ll invoice from there. It’s honor-based, low-pressure, and designed to keep things transparent and easy.
While I don’t currently offer full custom cover design, I do provide consultations and creative guidance to help you shape a strong, market-ready design. I’m happy to recommend trusted designers and can collaborate with you to make sure the vision for your book shines through. (Cover design may become part of Eula Rae’s services in the future as we grow.)
We believe in meaningful visibility, not overwhelm. Your book will be featured on our website and social platforms, and we’ll offer guidance with launch strategy, book tours, and promotional ideas that feel aligned with your voice. We don’t manage social media pages, but we’re happy to support you with tools, templates, and visibility opportunities.
Yes! We love celebrating big moments. Our two largest partnership packages include launch support to help you promote and position your book for success. We also offer launch support as an à la carte option—perfect if you're looking for help planning an event, crafting announcement copy, or organizing early buzz. We'll meet you where you are and bring your launch to life.
We can’t guarantee sales, but we do promise professional production, thoughtful support, and a publishing experience rooted in care. Book sales are influenced by many factors—your audience, your genre, timing, and how you share it with the world. What we can offer is a partnership that helps you put your best book forward, with guidance to help you stay aligned and confident as you launch.
The Full Service package includes all your publishing services, but not physical inventory. Like most publishing models (even traditional ones), author copies are ordered separately. I’ll guide you through placing your bulk order directly through IngramSpark or KDP, and you’ll only pay the actual printing and shipping costs—no markup, no middleman. Most authors order 10–50 copies for events or personal sales.
